Mercer Scaffolding have established a good working relationship with Lakehouse over the recent years. This affiliation has further strengthened thanks to an exciting new project to completely refurbish flats in Covent Garden. Contracts Manager Adam Millgate liaised with Lakehouse and main contractor Peabody, in order to organise the supply of up to 12,000 square meters of scaffolding covering every elevation in each block, leading to additional investment in company stock of equipment and materials.
Over a 24 week period, Shane Wood has been supervising 8 experienced operatives in erecting independent fully boarded scaffold using a ready lock system. Due to the location in central London the team are also faced with the challenge of working in and around a noisy estate. Therefore, to maintain health and safety standards the decision was taken to build gantries out of hours to Wild Street, Drury Lane and Kemble Street.

Testimonial from John Owen, Site Manager at Lakehouse:
“The Mercer team have been an absolute pleasure to work with, Shane and Adam are always proactive and professional. We’ve had no problems since the job started and are well on track.
Overall our client is very happy with the quality of scaffolding provided and when it comes to H&S Mercer certainly don’t cut corners, consistently scoring 10/10 during audits. I’m happy to recommend Mercer for our future projects”.
